The round ones, with jam in the middle and icing sugar all over the outside. And we played the doughnut game, where you have to eat the whole doughnut without once licking your lips or fingers. And if there's a tie of non-lickingness, then the one that ate the doughnut fastest wins.

So we were sat there, me, Nikki, Ally and Rocea, all of us {with the exception of Nikki} eating these doughnuts, and I had a random thought.

There's no room for depression when you've got half the doughnut over your face and the other half in your mouth. You can't sob when you're laughing so hard. It's not possible to feel alone when you've got your friends around you, all in similar states to you.

I love school doughnuts, not because I like the dessert or they're particularly tasty, but because the doughnuts remind us that life is still fun. No matter what happens.
