Tonight is the wait. Tonight, I sit and sweat drops nothing to do with the heat. Tonight is the pause, the calm before the storm, the breath before the roar, the light before the sound.

This feeling of anticipation is like Christmas; the same sickness and restlessness, but the nerves invert it, turn it around, a looking-glass twisted version of Christmas, reverse Christmas.
