I'm boxing up The love The dreams The trust And hope. I'm taking down The life I made Of spit and time And a whole lot of faith, And wrapping it In newsprint Printed with hopes and fears. I'm turning off the love songs And wiping off the sparkle And pouring it into a jar I made of memories. I'm putting them all In the attic In my mind And waiting For you to smile again So they can grow again Like the seeds that they are. |
